The goal of
the club is to bring together citizens interested in the protection
and breeding of autochthonous and other fish, as well as managing
an important recreational resource, namely sport fishing (angling).
The club also helps to protect the local aquatic ecosystems and
integrate them into the local cultural and sports environment.
The club functions
in five sectors: Bovec, Kobarid, Tolmin, Most na Soči and Grahovo.
It is led by an eleven member strong executive council, whose president
(and the president of the club) is Mr. Lucijan Rejec. The
club also has a disciplinary court and supervisory council.
Most important
decisions are made by the general assembly. To function effectively
the executive council has several permanent committees: the environment
management and fishery committee, the awards committee, the acknowledgments
committee and the committee for sport and youth work. The secretary
of the club is Mr. Andrej Krapež.
